On the site, the blogger used a 1700s map printed in India, a 1891 map printed in Germany, and a 1900 map printed in the United States, all of which showed that Tibet was a part of China. And a big part of it too. So for someone to describe the history of Tibet with the "1951 Chinese invasion" is false, and should be translated to the " 1951 Chinese reunification," perhaps like the Irelands. No one would go so far as to say "free Ireland"...okay, maybe the IRA would. But anyway, my point is that, Tibet is a part of China, just to ram it home. Face the facts.
And if you thought monks/lamas were a peaceful species, think again (note picture above). In the background, you can see some Chinese policemen holding up their shields as their only defense, holding onto their dear lives in hope of returning home.

It's interesting that you mention Ireland, because the same logic you're using also proves the "fact" that all of Ireland is a part of Britain. It was subject to the English crown from 1169 and directly ruled by the British starting from 1603.
So if Britain decided tomorrow to cross the border into southern Ireland and re-assert its control, would you say that we should talk about the "2008 British reunification" instead of calling it an invasion?
