Chinese Food? None In 2008 Beijing Olympic Village

In some of the lighter news coming out of China, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games just released the menus that will be found in next summer's Olympic Village, and there just doesn't seem to be enough Chinese food to go around.

"Western food will comprise most of the menu," said Xiang Ping, the deputy director in charge of the Games Service Department. Asian food, including variations of Chinese, Korean and Japanese, will only account for about 30% of food on the menus.

No word on whether the Peking Duck or another other famous Chinese dishes will be on the menus. The menu lists, designed to incorporate much of the athletes' religious dietary requirements, is now undergoing expert appraisal, with final results expected next month.

What type of Chinese food do you enjoy?

well one can always go out into the city to get garlic pork or moon cakes.

...there just doesn't seem to be enough Chinese food to go around.
Now that's just hilarious...

I understand the points of Beijing Olympic committee, which is trying to please the athletes coming from all over the world. This can make the sport people and working staff from other countries feel like at home. But if there should be any more Chinese cuisines, it should be taken into their considerations as well.

I consider this website's editors or writers are really chaos who also joined and enjoyed making comments in the posts with other public viewers - can't wait to laugh at others or countries with obvious bias and prejudice? Stupid attitudes! I believe this website will be a big failure in the near future - predictable. No really qualified writers/editers in this website. None! Zero! Only a group of shallow/superficial tiny-minded small mass. I won't be here long, don't worry, this place is just a skin-deep spot. I am here only a few days ago, then saw a scandel in panasianbiz.com main page.
