In some of the lighter news coming out of China, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games just released the menus that will be found in next summer's Olympic Village, and there just doesn't seem to be enough Chinese food to go around.
"Western food will comprise most of the menu," said Xiang Ping, the deputy director in charge of the Games Service Department. Asian food, including variations of Chinese, Korean and Japanese, will only account for about 30% of food on the menus.
No word on whether the Peking Duck or another other famous Chinese dishes will be on the menus. The menu lists, designed to incorporate much of the athletes' religious dietary requirements, is now undergoing expert appraisal, with final results expected next month.
What type of Chinese food do you enjoy?

well one can always go out into the city to get garlic pork or moon cakes.
