
Her low profile has kept her from the public in the past, but not anymore. Until last Wednesday, Zhang Yin, the founder and chairwoman of the paper company, was reported to be the mainland's richest person with a fortune of 27 billion yuan (3.4 billion U.S. dollars).
Well, I am not quite sure if it is good news for her. Zhang's lawyer said before that she didn't want her name on the list.
In traditional Chinese culture, riches are usually associated with immoral behavior. On the other hand, people always try not to be known as being rich, because it could cause some unexpected trouble from either outlaws or the government.
Being rich is not necessarily a good thing.
