Last week, the well-known U.S. - based Michigan Consulting Group released a survey showing that the consumer confidence index in the United States was 82.0 while China’s stood at 106.9. The high consumer confidence, in general, indicated that consumers likely spent more in the economy.
Moreover, there was another study conducted by World Values Surveys showing that 83.5% of the Chinese thought their country was run for all the people, rather than for a few big interest groups, whereas only 36.7% of Americans thought the same of their country.
A more interesting finding was: this survey showed 96.7% of Chinese expressed confidence in their government, compared to only 37.3% of Americans.
“Are you kidding me?” a friend of mine asked.

96%? That's too funny.
