No War, No Bomb, Said China

Today, the members of the UN Security Council are discussing a resolution drafted by the United States to respond to North Korea's nuclear test. The U.S. is pushing for:

1. International inspections on all cargo moving in and out of North Korea to detect weapon-related material.

2. Freeze on transfers or development of weapons of mass destruction.

3. Ban on imports of luxury goods.

4. Freeze of North Korea’s Financial or other assets.

China is not ruling out the possibility of backing UN sanctions, but says any military action would be "unimaginable".

So, the bottom line is no war, no bomb. Other things we could talk about. China said.
