 The former Goldman Sachs chairman said he welcomes China’s rapid growth in the past 20 years, and it is newly emerged as a global economic power. He rejected growing calls from U.S. Congress for protection against Chinese imports. “We are not afraid of Chinese competition,” Paulson said, “we welcome it.” But how many Americans agree with him? |
