To strengthen the internal supervision and prevent the corruption, last month the Communist Party of China (CPC) announced that all leading officials had to report to the party within a month:
1. If they, their spouses, or their children who live with them build, buy, sell or rent property.
2. If they participate in organizing a marriage ceremony or funeral rite for themselves or a close relative.
3. If they or their children marry foreigners.
4. If their spouses or children immigrated to other countries.
5. If they travel abroad for private reasons.
6. If their spouses or children are investigated by judicial organizations.
7. If their spouses and children run individual, private business or rent state-owned enterprises and collective enterprises.
8. If their spouses and children act as high-ranking managers in joint ventures and mainland branches of overseas companies.
Hopefully these requirements will restrain the existing momentum of corruption in China.
