The emergence of China as an economic superpower

For understandable reasons, China has been described as a “threat” by some outsiders for many years. From “threat of national security” and “threat of human rights” in early days, to “threat of lower labor costs”, “threat of energy demand”, “threat of food supplies”, etc. Recently, someone discovered a new threat: namely “threat of Chinese singles”. It means that the future disproportion between Chinese males and females may cause marriage crisis to Chinese people, resulting in posing a Chinese single males threat to China’s neighboring countries’ single females.

I have to admit, whoever found this new threat is unbelievably clever and imaginative, but they may also need to make an appointment with a psychiatrist.
