“Kobe, Let’s Play!”

In the 2002 World Championships in Indianapolis, the U.S. basketball team lost three times and finished with an embarrassing sixth. In the 2004 Olympics, the Americans lost again and settled for a bronze medal. The 2006 team still didn’t accomplish its goal – winning the gold medal. Last month in Japan, NBA All-star LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony saluted to the crowd after winning the bronze medal game in the 2006 World Basketball Championships.

Americans are confused; what should we do to win the World Championships? Here are most of the people’s opinions; that we need Kobe Bryant.

Kobe Bryant is widely recognized as one of the most outstanding players in the world. “Kobe Bryant’s presence alone would have been enough to win the tournament,” Dallas Mavericks Super Star Dirk Nowitzki told a German publication, “He would have won it for the Americans single-handedly.”

Well, it seems that not everyone agrees with Dirk. Last week, Kobe Bryant attended a meeting with Chinese basketball fans in Beijing. A little kid told Kobe, “Kobe, I am not afraid of you, let’s play!”
