
Data showed that the Honda’s overall sales in China climbed by 17 percent year-on-year, and 194,000 vehicles were sold in the first eight months of this year. Honda said China was now Honda’s third-biggest single market in the world after the United States and Japan.
Japan’s No. 3 carmaker, Honda Motor Co., has cooperated with China’s Guangzhou Motor Company to make Honda’s Accord, Fit sub-compact car, and Odyssey minivan.
Honda has also run on another joined venture with China Dongfeng Motor Corp to assemble Honda’s CR-V sport utility vehicle and civic compact sedan.
Interestingly, this year China will also become the World’s third largest carmaker, following U.S. and Japan according to a report released by Polk Marketing Systems.
