Last month, American political scientist Bernard Lewis wrote an article arguing that “our world is on the brink of another World War” and “it will originate on August 22 in the Middle East.”
August 22 has passed. It seems that Bernard Lewis’s predictions were baseless, but he was not alone talking about an impending world war.
R. James Woolsey, former CIA Director who claimed that the Cold War was, in fact, World War III, published an article entitled: “The Fourth War. Why shall we fight? Who are we fighting for? How shall we fight?”
In early August, Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House of Representative said: “It seems to me that we have got caught in the initial stages of a new World War.”
I guess these gentlemen are just trying to scare someone else.
