
The survey found that the small advertisements, which were posted outside on trees, walls, or bus stops were considered the most trustworthy. TV advertising ranked second, and online advertising came third. The respondents said advertisements on medical products, health food, and medicine were the most untrustworthy ads followed by beauty services and cosmetic products.
Last month, the State Administration of Industry and Commerce announced a ban on commercials for weight loss and breast enlargement on TV and radio, after many complaints on the false claims of such programs.
I wonder how many Americans think advertisements are trustworthy.
