China’s legislature is considering banning the sale of cigarettes and alcohol to 300 million young people below the age of 18. A draft amendment, submitted to China’s legislature last Tuesday for a preliminary reading, specified that shops are prohibited to sale tobacco and alcohol to teenagers.
There are millions and millions of young Chinese people becoming regular smokers and drunkards each year. It is said that 90% of them start in their teens or earlier.
I do believe not only the government, but that we all have an obligation to protect our children from tobacco and alcohol addiction.

Good move. Applaud!!
