Four groups in America were polled about their impressions of China -
1. General Public
2. Opinion Leaders
3. Congressional Staff
4. Business Leaders
One question they were asked is
Is China's Government Responsible for the US Trade Deficit?
Just one in three of the General Public (33%) don't think so. One in five of
the Opinion Leaders (20%) and business leaders (18%) think so, whereas the Congressional Staff (7%) thinks, "What are you kidding? Of course, the goverment is involved."
For those who somewhat/strongly agree the numbers are more persuasive.
Congressional staff (32/54%) = 86% think the Chinese government is involved.
Opinion Leaders - (26/52%) = 78% think the chinese government is involved.
Business Leaders - (27/47%) = 74% think so ...and
General Public - (27/30%) - 57% think the Chinese government is messing with the trade balance.
What do you think?
