When a very complicated medical procedure acheives success, rightly or wrongly, it is called a miracle.
China, it seems, wants a miracle, too. Desperate to be considered an equal in technology, manufacturing, science, China surely wants the same status in medicine as well.
Sadly, they hit a setback.
Fudan University Children's Hospital in Shanghai conducted 'miracle' surgery to disjoin to conjoined twins.
The separation was successful, but one of the 10 month old girls died.
The girls had congenital heart disease among other problems, so the death was not a shocker.
still, we can be sure, China hoped against hope they could have produced a 'miracle' of their own.
Miracles are not that easy to come by.
