Two groups in America were polled about their impressions of China -
1. Congressional Staff
2. Business Leaders
One question they were asked was
In recent years, China has allowed free-market ventures by its people. Do you agree that China is no longer a true communist country?
Less than half of the Congressional Staff (47%) think China is no longer a true communist country.
Contrasted to that is nearly two thirds of Business Leaders (63%) think that China has abandoned its communist ideals.
When everyone in China makes the money they plan to and then the government takes it away we'll know the real answer to this question, won't we?
What do you think?

The answer to that depends on what communist ideals you are talking about really. if you are talking about views on money and capitalism, then i think anyone that has been watching news would know the answer to that. but if you are talking about a strangle hold on power then it will probably still take a while to change that. the funny thing with communist china is that even though there's voting mechansim on how party members are elected to different positions from local to regional to national, people tend to go with the majority, this is so to avoid offending the person that might become say ... the president of china.
