Chinese auto manufacturer Nanjing Automotive bought the British sports car brand MG.
I remember wanting one of those when I was growing up. But, I am too big, or they are too small or a combination of both.
Nanjing Automotive plans to make the MGs in three places -
1. England
2. China
and
3. the US - Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Production is set to begin in 2008. It will be the first time a Chinese car company will manufacture in America, not to mention in America's heartland.
The cost of this purchase to Nanjing Automotive - $2 billion.
Nanjing Automotive plans to hire 500 people. That will make those Sooners happy sooner, eh?
What do you think?
go to 老毕看中国

It is about time to have small car in U.S.A. With the growth of Chineses and other "petite" nation in U.S.A. we need small car. At least, the driver behind the wheel will be visible!
