One blogger, Xiang Wenbo, thinks Chinese companies are 'losing their minds.'
Beijing has made it quite easy for foreigners to enter the country in hopes of helping China get a quick start and plenty of momentum to catch up with the rest of the business world.
Now, China's universities, business leaders and government officials are beginning to question that strategy. Helping the country get started on the business road is one thing. Taking over is another.
Beijing is now considering options to combat monopolies and is drawing up a list of off-limit industrial sectors.
Beijing is also offering low-interest loans to China's carmakers in hopes of increasing the number of domestic made cars to 60% of the total as compared to the present 20%.
China, believe it or not, is more hospitable to foreign ownership than Japan or Korea, say some.
At any rate, China, or at least some in China think, they have their start at capitalism, now it's time to hold back the foreigners.
