In 1994, Committee of 100 commissioned a Wirthlin study to find out what percentage of Americans had a favorable opinion of China.
The results were less than half - 46% - of Americans had a favorable opinion.
However - 10 years later -
57% of the General Public have a favorable opinio of China.
63% of Opinion Leaders have a favorable opinion.
52% of the Congressional staff look at China positively.
69% of business leaders think things are great - no doubt they are making money or are planning to.
IN any event, Pew, Gallup and CBS/New York Times have all echoed these findings with surveys of their own.
Americans are looking more favorably at the Chinese.
