China tops so many lists that I am not surprised to find it on the top of this list, too.
China's cities rank as some of the worst for air quality.
In fact, some are blaming the Hong Kong air quality on the death of a 53 year old asthmatic runner.
The air quality score was so bad (149) that the guy apparently couldn't breathe, keeled over and died. Anything over 100 (the index goes up to 500) is considered bad enough that runners are advised to run early in the morning or late at night to be safe.
Of course, race officials are denying that the smog had anything to do with it.
But, it is undeniable that China's cities have some of the worst pollution anywhere.

If you are a runner or biker or do some other outdoor sport in a metropolitan area, it may be worth checking out from time to time.
Have you ever changed a workout because of the smog?
