Well, here is something the US has been able to export without problem - diabetes.
Okay, I know it's not solely the US' fault; it is the responsibility of the individual to determine what goes in their body.
But..China now has about 39 million people over 20 years old with diabetes and India
has about 30 million.
The main contributors to becoming diabetic, besides genes are changes in lifestyle and diet.
As developing countries become more industrialized, there is less physical activity in
their work. And since they have more time, they spend that time on meal preparation -
driving to KFC, McDonald's or Pizza Hut rather than cooking at home.
Less anyone think it is the fault of the fast food chains and the processed food makers,
Japan has all these things and diabetes hasn't soared there, yet.
In any event...the health care systems in India and China have their hands full dealing
with so many patients and it is surely going to get worse before it gets better.
What do you think?
