
The Chinese government and the Catholic Church don't get along.
Intrigue and suspicion are at the root of the distrust. I am speaking of the Catholic church.
You never know what those guys are thinking or going to do next...again I mean the Catholic Church.
The Chinese government is appointing its own Bishops...and the Catholic church has their underwear all tied in knot.
The Catholic Church can play politics, too. They are floating the idea of breaking diplomatic ties with Taiwan - a move the Beijing government would certainly welcome.
Pope Benedict is trying to normalize relations with the Chinese government in exchange for the government putting the kabash on appointing bishops....
Okay, okay...is this why there is a separation of church and state in the US? I think so.
What are government and church officials doing negotiating on who and who should not lead the church? and who and who not should be considered a country?
